Talise and Brad’s wedding was about two people who joined many hearts. A fun-loving couple, their wedding was held at The Royal Yacht Club in Hobart by the beautiful water.
Talise wore a wedding dress that had everyone gushing. She was gorgeous in a mermaid style dress with a structured bodice detailed with stunning lace applique.
Four thin, shimmering straps were the eye-catching feature on the low-cut back which moved down to the ethereal, cathedral, tulle train.
Talise wore nude-hued shoes with some extra special words printed on the soles of the shoes. One sole was inscribed with the words ‘I Do’ and the date of the special day whilst the other sole was inscribed with ‘Mrs Cleaver’.
Talise’s bridal look was finished with her hair softly pinned into an up style and an iridescent, sparkling hair piece.
All 7 Bridesmaids wore classic, A-line dresses in a rich hue of burgundy. Styled with their hair half out, a stem of baby’s breath sat nestled into the Bridesmaid’s hair and their bouquets were domes of baby’s breath.
The bride carried a bouquet mixed with baby’s breath and red roses.
Groom Brad and his Groomsmen wore white shirts with navy pants finished with a red rose. The Groomsmen wore open collar shirts whilst the groom wore a burgundy bow tie and suspenders.
Brad and his son Kaidyn arrived looking cool and calm wearing their matching sunglasses. In a wonderful way of ensuring the little man felt included, Brad placed a security tag on Kaidyn’s shirt giving him the special job of protecting the wedding rings. To emphasise the importance of his role, Kaidyn also carried a special case printed with the words ‘ring security’. The wedding rings were tucked safely inside.
The weather meant the ceremony was unable to go ahead outside at The Royal Yacht Club in Hobart so the official proceedings were moved inside.
As Talise made her first steps down the aisle, Brad couldn’t help but exclaim “wow”. Kaidyn must have approved too, showing his affection as he spontaneously hugged Talise halfway down the aisle. Talise was visibly moved by this unscripted moment from Kaidyn.
Celebrant Julia Hern pronounced the Bride and Groom Mr & Mrs Cleaver and facilitated a hand fastening ritual using three chords for visual symbolism. Kaidyn was included in this part of the ceremony demonstrating that not just two hearts but three hearts were being joined together.
At the conclusion of the ceremony the new Mr and Mrs headed back down the aisle and guests celebrated by filling the air with bubbles
Mr & Mrs
Guests enjoyed a relaxed reception setting with canapes served.
The wedding cake was a gorgeous, two-tiered white cake with a burgundy ribbon border on each tier. A black Micky and Minnie Mouse cake topper with the couple’s wedding date and their first initials sat atop the cake.
The soundtrack to the first dance was the beautiful love song, ‘From the Ground Up’ by Dan and Shay and guests enjoyed mingling and dancing into the night.
Through The Lens
(What I’ll always remember about Talise & Brad’s day)
When Talise walked down the aisle I was standing next to Brad and overheard him say “Wow”. This moment instantly brought a smile to my face.
Witnessing Kaidyn run up to Talise as she made her way down the aisle was also really special.
From the Groom’s sunglasses to their child-sized security guard and the Bride’s stunning dress, every detail of the day was a happy celebration of love and life.
Thank you, Talise and Brad for a day filled with love. May you never forget the love you felt on your special day.
