Simone & Jarrod arrived in Hobart the morning of their wedding via the very large and luxurious Emerald Princess cruise ship along with many family and friends early one morning in December, and were married on the same day at the Royal Tasmanian Botanical Gardens.
The Emerald Princess sailed into Hobart early hours of the morning, the sun was coming up whilst the full moon still shone in the sky. Truly a magnificent day to be getting married. Simone & Jarrod were only in town for the day, before cruising to Port Arthur and beyond. The outside of the conservatory at the gardens looked amazing, thanks to Mishsa Carrington at Weddings Events Corporate who had done a wonderful job decorating prior to the arrival of the couple and guests mid-morning.
The gorgeous bride, elegantly dressed, held their youngest son and had their daughter by her side throughout the lovely ceremony, conducted by Christine Coret. Close family and friends, some of whom flew down to Hobart and others who came down from Sydney on the cruise ship with the now married couple have joined and celebrated this special day with Simone & Jarrod.
I felt privileged to be able to capture their special day as their wedding photographer.
More couples are coming to Tasmania, often on cruise ships, to get married now…and why not! There are just so many great locations and possibilities for beautiful weddings in Tasmania. I love this beautiful state that we live in!
