Claire and Chris were surrounded by love on their wedding day at the Royal Tasmanian Botanical Gardens in Hobart. The couple held their ceremony at the historic Conservatory, a location specially fitting for such a momentous occasion and the reception followed at Succulent; a restaurant situated within the gardens.
With breath-taking floral displays and historical architecture, this setting is brimming with magnificent qualities every Bride and Groom look for in their once-in-a-life-time moment.
Bride
The Bride, Claire was radiant in a floor length, mermaid style dress featuring lace over silk-touch charmeuse fabric. The lace was beautifully fashioned to showcase the bride’s figure in a fit and flare silhouette and sweep train. With a sweetheart illusion neckline and low illusion back the wedding dress featured fabric buttons and an embroidered scalloped lace hem as the finishing touch.
Paired with a waterfall, fingertip veil, Claire’s hair was pinned into a romantic up do with softly falling pieces gracing the sides of her face.
The Bridesmaids stunned in their navy floor length dresses featuring spaghetti straps, sweeping sleeves and a ruched bodice. The design was fairy tale-worthy and feminine.
Claire and her Bridesmaids carried bouquets filled with blooming peonies and roses in soft hues of pink and white complemented by beautiful pastel green foliage.
Groom
Groom Chris and his Groomsmen were handsomely styled wearing grey suits paired with slate blue ties and tan shoes.
The Royal Tasmanian Botanical Gardens
Stepping into the ceremony setting at the Conservatory felt like opening the door to another world….. A world of evergreen beauty and colour as fragrance filled the air with splendour and tranquil expectation.
Under the magnificent high glass ceilings and light filled space, guests stood together as they lined the sides of the water fountain to witness the most significant union between two people.
Claire made her grand entrance arm in arm with her Father before standing with her groom to share vows.
With Leanne Orr as the celebrant everyone was engaged in the couple’s intimate ceremony where heartfelt tears were shared.
At the conclusion of the ceremony, I headed off with the Bridal party, making the most of the many idyllic backdrops within the Botanical Gardens.
I took the newlyweds to the two most popular photo locations every Bride and Groom must visit within the gardens…..
Firstly, the beautiful carved arch is essential. The detail and craftmanship in this historical garden landmark is both beautiful in its form and in it’s history.
Secondly, the romantic Garden Bridge situated over the Lily Pond. This photo setting is steeped in history and beauty and is the perfect place for a romantic kiss.
The reception was held at Succulent, the restaurant located within the botanical gardens featuring spectacular views of Hobart. To kick off the celebrations, the newlyweds took to the dance floor the moment they entered the reception; symbolising their first official dance as husband and wife.
The reception venue was styled with long tables stretching the length of the room, decorated with white pillar candles individually wrapped in burlap and lace. A leafy green garland weaved its way from each end of the tables.
The couple chose a two-tiered cake with white icing featuring a pastel pink, ribbon border on each tier. A Mr & Mrs cake topper was placed on the top tier and beautiful pink and white roses finished the romantic cake.
Through The Lens
(What I’ll always remember about Claire & Chris’s day)
Claire & Chris’s wedding was fairy tale worthy and was filled with heartfelt love. They have such genuine care and adoration for one another.
Countless beautiful moments were captured in the grounds of the gardens making this location a winner for wedding day photoshoots.
Leanne Orr is one of my favourite celebrants. Her professional and warm approach along with her ability to ensure every ceremony runs smoothly makes her a highly sort after celebrant. Leanne is an incredible professional and always knows when to step away so I can get ‘the shot’…. She’s a photographer’s favourite type of celebrant.
Thank you, Claire and Chris for allowing me to capture your happily ever after moments.
