Amanda and Matthew’s wedding was a day that showcased their great love story…. A true love union at the ever-beautiful Frogmore Creek Winery in Cambridge, Tasmania.
Woven with their love narrative, every detail of the day was symbolic, meaningful and touching.
The Bride
Amanda was a radiant bride in a fit and flare dress detailed with beautiful lace applique and iridescent crystals that winked and sparkled from every dimension. The defined silhouette and deep V neckline on the open backed, Martina Liana wedding dress really made a statement. The dress was finished with a stunning scalloped, lace, cathedral train which made for an exquisite visual impact.
Amanda’s hair was styled up with an elegant braid woven to one side and pulled into a soft bun at the back. An embellished hair piece was pinned to the side of the bun and soft curls fell around her face.
The Bridesmaid was glamorous in a full length, black dress with a low-cut back and carried a bouquet of soft grey green wild florets and fresh white flowers which matched the bride’s bouquet.
The Groom
Groom Matthew and his Groomsmen wore timeless black suits with white shirts paired with a classic black bow tie.
The First Look
Amanda and Matthew had a first look at Richmond Bridge in a private moment before the ceremony. With sentimental ties to this location, the couple felt it was fitting to see each other for the first time as Bride and Groom in this setting…
Set over the water, Matthew turned to see Amanda as they met on the wooden viewing platform and his reaction to Amanda was unforgettable. I’m sure the first moment of seeing his bride will be a moment he remembers forever. They both had smiles that beamed with happiness.
The Ceremony
Set at the Frogmore Creek Winery amphitheatre, a location which boasts majestic views of the lush vines and grand hills, guests arrived via a vintage, red double decker bus and awaited Amanda’s arrival.
Amanda walked down the aisle arm in arm with her Father and Mother and together her parents gave her to Matthew who was expectantly waiting for his bride.
The couple stood before a timber arbour lavishly styled with flourishing blooms of pale greens, soft white and pops of soft citrus as Celebrant David Closs joined them together as husband and wife.
As he officiated this special, moment of a lifetime, the loving couple exchanged rings designed by the same jeweller Amanda’s own Father had commissioned to make her Mother’s engagement ring many years prior….
Mr & Mrs
With the official proceedings over, we took advantage of the vintage double decker bus by capturing photos and of course then heading into the famous vineyards to photograph the newlyweds in a romantic setting.
The reception was held in the Barrel Room at Frogmore Creek Winery which is a beautiful rustic timber space. Characterised by the magnificent high timber ceilings and floor to ceiling windows, this room showcases the view of the captivating vineyard location.
The Barrel room was beautifully styled with suspended fairy lights softly illuminating the room whilst the tables were adorned with white table cloths and personalised wooden place names.
The wedding cake was a beautiful naked cake styled with fresh flowers and a personalised timber cake topper that said ‘You’re my lobster’.
When it was time for the first dance the newlyweds danced to an acoustic cover of ‘Shut Up and Dance’…. A song that has a fun and loving memory between the couple.
Guests enjoyed a photo board which shared the couple’s love story featuring memorable moments from their love narrative. Fittingly, a timber sign next to the photo board was engraved with a quote which read ‘We’re all stories in the end, just make it a good one.’
Through The Lens
(What I’ll always remember about Amanda & Matthew’s day)
The standout moment from this wedding was Matthew’s reaction when seeing Amanda as his Bride. It was a moment I’ll never forget….
I don’t think the smiles left Amanda & Matthew’s faces throughout the wedding. I came away knowing I’d witnessed a really great love story between two people who will grow old together.
Their authentic love was obvious throughout the wedding and is evident in the photos captured.
Thank you, Amanda and Matthew for letting me in on your love story and may you make your lifetime of love a ‘good one’.
